MBS Open House 2017

By: Michael Albuquerque

It was the day of the open house on the 30th of March at the Professional Science Masters Program (which offers an MBS - Masters and Business and Science Degree) where we opened our doors and gave a warm welcome to all who made their way to the venue. This was an opportunity for prospective students and academia to interact with the staffprofessors and current students. The open house was all about getting to know about the unique program, available concentrations and putting faces to names. Those present from the Program included the Program Executive director, Dr. Deborah Silver, Prof. Kathleen Cashman, Program Manager, Vicki Pasigos and several other staff and faculty.

Many stopped by at the MBS Open House. It was also a networking opportunity, i.e., to meet others with an interest in the program or a professor teaching a subject of their interest. There was also the chance to talk to current students about the program who were happy to talk about their experiences being a part of the program. The room was abuzz with conversation over snacks served at the venue and there was rarely a dull moment where the lively faculty answered questions and spoke at length to those who made the trip.

A prospective student interested in sustainability pointed out that all concentrations were well represented at the event and he was glad to have come to the event to learn more about the program and the concentration he intended on taking up. Another matter of interest to many prospective students was how their aspirations were matched by the professionally driven curriculum of the MBS aided by its learning goals.

The MBS Degree is offered with part time, full time and distance learning options. Several courses are also available online. For anyone with an interest who couldn’t be there in person or for those who were present and have further questions, there are always opportunities for Information Webinars for Prospective Students listed on the Events Page. Information about the program is never far away. Contact us with any queries.
