Recently retired from Colgate Palmolive, as Executive Vice President of Global R&D - having led teams and programs across the world, covering several product categories including Oral Care, Personal Care, Skin Health, and Home Care. Extremely responsive to ever changing business needs through strong internal and external partnerships. Extensive global experience having worked and lived in Asia, Europe and the US. Established several Technology Centres around the world and excellent appreciation of multinational cultures and markets

This presentation is a broad overview on how Fast Moving Consumer Product companies develop and implement products into the market place - how they are typically organized for product development and enable successful product commercialization, from the R&D laboratory to the supermarket shelf or increasingly today to the consumer’s doorstep. It will outline the roles and imperatives of each of the major functional areas that contribute towards delivery of a quality and consistent product at scale, whether for a single geography or a global roll out. The presentation will also briefly discuss the various challenges that companies often encounter.
