Since our program’s inception in 2010, all MBS students have finished their degree by completing our Capstone. In this distinctive course, students work in teams to choose an emerging science-derived intellectual property (IP) and develop a business plan to take this IP to market. Capstone allows students to practice skills learned throughout the MBS education, using knowledge of both science and business to commercialize successfully and manage the development of science-intensive enterprises.

However, the Rutgers Professional Science Master’s program not only gives you a unique education but we also teach you how to use the MBS degree to differentiate yourself.

The Rutgers Professional Science Master’s (PSM) program warmly welcomed our new students for the fall 2023 semester! On Wednesday, August 2023, new MBS students joined faculty and staff for a thrilling introduction to our program. Hosted at the beautiful Rutgers University Inn and Conference Center, MBS executive coach and instructor Kathleen Cashman inspired students and shared how our program can help them reach their goals.

At the Professional Science Master’s program, we encourage our alumni to stay connected long after graduation. Last week, we invited our alumni to join us at the beautiful Readington Brewery and Hop Farm located on US Highway 202 for a night of fun.

Congratulations to the Master of Business and Science October 2022, January 2023, and May 2023 graduates! 

The New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists, the premier professional association for the cosmetics and personal care sector in the New York tri-state area, hosted Suppliers’ Day in New York City. The event, which took place May 2-3 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, is the premier industry event in North America.  

On Wednesday, April 26th, 2023, MBS students learned about the flavors industry. We invited four professionals to answer questions from Dr. Paul Takhistov as well as MBS students. It was a night of industry expertise and professional networking, beneficial to students across concentrations.  

Most professionals agree, networking is vital to career growth. On Thursday, February 9th, the Professional Science Master’s (PSM) program collaborated with the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) to host a networking event. Our students had the chance to mingle with members of the HBA Central New Jersey chapter over dinner at the Rutgers Conference and Inn.
