This is a unique opportunity to engage in an Internship of experience and have the experience guided by a Professionally Certified Executive Coach. Internship course for students who are completing an internship by conducting an experience directly with an organization or research with a professor on campus.
The course runs alongside of your internship. A course site is set for exchange of discussions with other interns, exchanging internship do’s and don’ts and other valuable resources. The dynamic posting of resources is based on available articles, blogs and other state of the knowledge information. The course work are things you need to be doing within your internship – not extra course work. Building Life Long Repeatable processes starts with experiencing how to apply them in a real world application – the Internship.

The course has several objectives:
1) To leverage your education into real world experience to create value for both your employer and for your career. Resume worthy bullet points are the focus of the experience – not just what you did, how did you add value to what you did.
2) The development of Professional Team interactions to include all communications – one to one and group as well as written. Influence skills, negotiation skills, conflict resolution skills and Managing projects, managing multiple priorities, building agility and above all, building relationships that work are just some of the skills that are enhanced within every internship and focused on with your Executive Coach.
3) Bridging the Science and the Business. Experience allows for the bridge to be utilized and recognized. Building the Experience to be recognized and valued is your goal. Turning internships into career opportunities doesn’t just happen, you cause it to happen. Within the course, the focus of all interactions and assignments helps you build this strength.
4) For research Internships Course Requirements and meetings are determined by the head researcher. This course can ONLY be counted toward your science credits.
