Digital Forensics Project

  • Students analyzed digital forensics training and certification requirements for the Department of Homeland Security investigative units, State and Local Law Enforcement, and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). They identified opportunities and gaps, and recommend measures to standardize training and certification across all of Homeland Security. This project is a part of the funded Department of Homeland Security project, “Best Practices for Sharing Digital Evidence” and is through the Criminal Investigations Network Analysis (CINA) Center of Excellence at Carnegie Mellon University.
