Information Technology- Social/Digital Media Design
Interested in a career in Social Medial Design with a focus on designing customer experience, digital and social media marketing, digital marketing/business intelligence, predictive modeling, and content management? Think Social Media Design. This program provides a unique approach to analyze how to think about social customers, how to engage them, and how to design a framework for social and digital strategies. Students will be taught the principles relating to social/digital media design and information technology, management and planning, team work, communication skills, and fundamentals of making proper financial decisions.
Craft a unique career path in exciting data-driven industries and careers such as marketing, product management, health care, finance, entertainment, media and technology. There are many employment opportunities (especially in the NY/NJ metro area) including: digital marketing, social media marketing, customer experience management, social media design, web development, product management, business analyst.
Admission requirements include a bachelor degree and GRE. Work experience is a plus (but not required). Students without a technology background, may need to take the following prerequisite courses: 17:610:550 Introduction to Information Technology, or the equivalent as a first step. For the Master of Business & Science (MBS) degree, students take 24 credits in the sciences and 19 credits in business. In addition, students must attend 12 colloquium events to qualify for graduation.
