On April 14th, the Professional Science Master’s (PSM) program welcomed students back for another lively Master of Business and Science (MBS) Happy Hour event. Hosted by Jay Goldring, the event was open to students from all concentrations, creating an exciting opportunity for interdisciplinary networking. Faculty members also joined us for the night.
With food and drinks, we created a relaxing environment for students to hang out before schoolwork picked up for finals. Students caught up with their classmates, met new friends, and expanded their networks beyond their own concentrations.
At the core of the MBS degree is the emphasis on building strong and diverse networks. You never know which connection might lead to your next big opportunity. Whether you’re in analytics, personal care, product design, or cybersecurity, your future mentor or hiring manager might be standing just a few feet away.
Happy hours like these are an important reminder that while academic achievements are crucial, relationships and personal connections can be just as pivotal in career development. Don’t be afraid to reach out and make that next connection! You never know where it might lead.
The PSM program is proud to create spaces where these spontaneous connections can happen naturally. As always, we encourage students to stay engaged, keep building their networks, and take full advantage of every opportunity to learn not just from classes, but from each other.
