The Rutgers Master of Business and Science (MBS) degree welcomed new and returning international students, who bring diverse perspectives, talents, and experiences, for a lunch! Abbe Rosenthal, MBS Assistant Director and Executive Coach, hosted this interactive event at the SERC building in Room 221A. Students had a chance to connect with one another, build networks, and learn about resources that can support them throughout their MBS journey.

The lunch opened with a round of introductions, where students shared their backgrounds and professional destinations. This activity encouraged conversation and helped attendees learn more about the different goals and aspirations within the international student community.

Both Abbe Rosenthal and Brenda Rodriguez, MBS Student Success and Engagement Specialist, guided the group through practical tips and valuable resources designed to support students as they navigate their MBS experience. Rosenthal highlighted Froghire.ai, an exciting job search tool for international students. Stay tuned—more details to come soon!

The discussion reminded students that the MBS degree provides much more than coursework; it is a holistic experience with tools, mentoring, and events to ensure academic, professional, and personal success.

The event concluded with an online trivia game, where students tested their knowledge of Rutgers and MBS resources available to international students. The trivia added a fun, interactive element to the event and left students more familiar with the support systems designed to help them succeed.

The International Student Lunch reflects the MBS degree program’s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for everyone and supporting our international students.
