The Master of Business and Science (MBS) degree alumni community gathered at Readington Brewery and Hop Farm in Readington, New Jersey, for the third year in a row. At this 25-acre farm brewery in Hunterdon County, MBS alumni, staff, and faculty bonded over delicious food and craft beer.
Although clear skies gave way to rain, this gathering was fun for the whole family. Alumni and community members were invited to bring their families for activities like painting and yard games.
This brewery is owned and co-founded by Braun Kiess, instructor of the MBS course Principles of Accounting and Finance. Kiess led attendees on a tour of his brewery, giving a behind-the-scenes look at how beverages are crafted at Readington Brewery and Hop Farm.
This gathering occurred on June 19th. To honor Juneteenth, the gathering included black-owned small businesses providing food and entertainment.
Attendees heard from Abbe Rosenthal, MBS Assistant Director and Executive Coach, about the value of the alumni community. Our community is an incredible resource to graduates and spans across industries, professional functions, and geographic locations. She highlighted our alumni-exclusive platform, Graduway, where MBS alumni can stay up to date with our events, access a job board with postings from other alumni and MBS partners, connect with other MBS alumni, and more.
We work hard to provide our alumni opportunities for networking, socializing, and other engagement. Our alumni continue to give back to our community by supporting students through our alumni-student mentoring program, participating in our Externship program, sharing expert advice in our industry panels, and visiting our classrooms to give guest lectures.
