Solve biological problems using bioinformatic approaches in this applications-based course. Evaluate data analysis processes in the context of drug discovery, disease characterization, and phylogenetics—learning to use existing bioinformatics analyses packages in both lecture and lab format. The techniques discussed and applied in this course are applicable to many areas of biology including agricultural, natural, and environmental sciences.
