The MBS Geospatial Information Systems & Technology (GIS&T) concentration prepares students with the knowledge, tools, and technical expertise needed to excel in this rapidly growing, multidisciplinary field. Students explore both the theoretical foundations of GIS and the societal and environmental impacts of geospatial technologies. 

Alongside technical training, the program builds essential business skills in finance, entrepreneurship, leadership, intellectual property, ethics, regulatory affairs, and artificial intelligence (AI), empowering graduates to lead innovation at the intersection of geospatial science, technology, and business.

Applicants who are unsure of their eligibility for this concentration should schedule an appointment with an enrollment specialist.

Academic

An undergraduate degree in a science-specific discipline is preferred, and applicants should have as solid background in—and deep understanding of—calculus and statistics. If necessary, students can take calculus and/or statistics courses while earning their MBS degree.

Professional

All professional experience will be considered as part of the application process.
