The MBS Sustainability concentration prepares students to address complex challenges in today’s interconnected world. Through our online sustainability program, students gain the skills to identify, analyze, and understand the links among social, environmental, technological, and economic systems, including environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors.

This online sustainability concentration curriculum blends cutting-edge methods for measuring, predicting, and influencing sustainability outcomes with essential business skills in finance, entrepreneurship, leadership, intellectual property, ethics, regulatory affairs, and artificial intelligence (AI). Graduates are equipped to drive innovation and lead change at the intersection of science, business, and sustainability.

Recommended Experience For Admission

Applicants who are unsure of their eligibility for this concentration should schedule an appointment with an enrollment specialist.

Academic

It is strongly recommended that applicants possess at least a bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline. In some cases, promising students without science or engineering degrees may be accepted to the program.

It is also recommended that students have completed: one semester of calculus, one year of chemistry, one year of another science (e.g., environmental science, ecology, biology, physics, meteorology, air or water pollution, geology), and one semester of statistics.

Professional

All professional experience will be considered as part of the application process.

Previous education in environmental sciences is not required.
