From the Professional Science Master’s (PSM) program, a huge congratulations to all Master of Business and Science (MBS) degree graduates!
Completing the MBS degree is no easy task. The MBS team was thrilled to welcome our graduates, including online students, to celebrate at the Rutgers Club. Located on Livingston Campus, the Rutgers Club offered an elegant backdrop where attendees could mingle, eat great food, and share their MBS experiences. We also set up a photo backdrop for graduates!
After a buffet dinner, the ceremony began. Key instructors known by many of our students gave words of encouragement, including Jack Levitt (Principles of Communication and Leadership), Lori Dars (Externship), Mark Burgess (Market Assessment and Analysis), Braun Keiss (Principles of Accounting and Finance), Beth Ann Murphy (Ethics), and Tom Bryant (Capstone).
Kathleen Cashman Walter, MBS Assistant Teaching Professor and instructor of our fundamental course, Principles of Communication and Leadership, started by encouraging students to celebrate their successes! Don’t be afraid to share them with those around you, she urged.
Abbe Rosenthal, MBS Executive Coach and director of MBS Alumni Engagement, reminded students that the MBS journey doesn’t end with graduation. She encouraged students to stay connected with us—and with fellow alumni—through our new platform, Graduway. Graduway offers an exclusive network for MBS alumni to stay up to date, access a job board with postings from other alumni and MBS partners, receive invitations to our events, and more.
Rosenthal also stressed the importance of continuing to build connections within your field, suggesting alumni take part in professional societies and attend relevant conferences.
PSM Executive Director Deborah Silver continued the ceremony by sharing a list of the top ten skills needed in the workforce in 2025. Topped by artificial intelligence and machine learning, these are skills taught in many of our courses!
After Rosenthal read out students' names, Cashman Walter ended the ceremony with a reminder to students: Lead your own ship.
Many congratulations to new MBS alumni! Share your successes with us. Follow our main accounts on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter). Alumni are also encouraged to join our alumni groups on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
