Celebrating the Season! MBS Holiday Party 2024

This year, we invited our students to celebrate the holidays with us! On December 19th, we held our annual holiday celebration at the Rutgers Inn and Conference center. Our MBS community of students, staff, faculty, and alumni gathered in a heated tent for some delicious hors d'oeuvres and mingling before transition to a dinner inside the Inn.

The Inn was filled with beautiful wintry decorations. Attendees were invited to share their wishes for 2025 by writing them on ornaments and adding them to a fir tree. It was an atmosphere of celebration and festivity as the MBS community reminisced over the past year and shared hopes and plans for 2025.

After dinner, attendees were treated to a speech from MBS executive coach and instructor of our Principles of Communication and Leadership course Kathleen Cashman-Walter, who gave a speech to celebrate the fact that our program turns 15 this year. She showcased an exclusive copy of our playbook, which details our program and how students can make the most of it. Shino John, Associate VP for Strategic Growth and International Development at Rutgers University Division of Continuing Studies (DoCS), spoke about the beginnings of our program. Speeches were concluded with a talk from PSM Executive Director Dr. Deborah Silver.

It was a delightful evening, and a great way to end 2024!

We also wanted to celebrate the end of the year with those who could not join us in person. We also held a virtual holiday celebration for members of our community who live out of state. On December 17th, we hosted a virtual winter-themed game night. Attendees were placed on teams and competed to answer trivia, play word games, and engage in friendly competition under the guidance of a live host.

Huge thank you to all who joined in our holiday celebrations! Happy New Year!
