It’s November—National Entrepreneurship Month—a month definitely worth celebrating at MBS!

An MBS education is not just about integrating advanced STEM-based knowledge with professional business instruction, it’s about applying this blended education with an eye for commercialization, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Throughout the pandemic, entrepreneurship has boomed—hitting an all-time high—a renaissance of sorts, as reported in LinkedIn, which recently featured articles about not only the industries but the cities for the best places for entrepreneurs to live.

"The U.S. has seen a surge in business starts, with applications for new ventures increasing 24% in 2020 over 2019, according to data from the Census Bureau. This reverses a decades-long trend of declining entrepreneurship,” read a recent article.

MBS students are well-prepared prepared to drive innovation and take ideas from concept to market—whether through one of our many “concept-to-market” courses, and certainly through the Capstone course—a culmination of all knowledge acquired as applied to novel use of new technologies (and a graduation requirement).

This month and every month, we celebrate our amazing alumni and students. But today, we give a special shoutout to our current and future innovators—our entrepreneurial business scientists. Happy November!
