Spook-tacular Screenings: MBS Students Get Chills at Halloween Movie Night

October means one thing – Halloween is creeping up on us! On October 4th, the Professional Science Master’s (PSM) program got into the spooky spirit with a scary movie night at the Rutgers Inn. With Halloween right around the corner, students gathered for a night filled with suspense and good company.

This year, students gathered to watch the 2018 horror film Halloween, a box-office hit that grossed over $259 million worldwide. This is a sequel to the first Halloween, directed by John Carpenter, released in 1978—a cult-classic movie for horror fans everywhere.

The conference room of the Inn, usually reserved for networking events and guest speakers, was transformed into a cozy movie theater. With popcorn, pizza, and snacks, students bundled up in blankets, ready for the scary night to begin.

Just when the mood was set, Kelly Montgomery, our Program Coordinator for Events, made her grand entrance. After scaring students last year as a creepy nun during a showing of The Nun II, she brought a new movie-goer—a plastic skeleton!

While the PSM program strives to provide our students with top-quality educational and networking events, we also host fun events like this movie night to foster a sense of community—and so that students can just have fun! The night was a resounding success, thanks to all the brave students who joined us!
