Principles of Communication & Professional Development for Science & Technology Management
In terms of the specific class I learned the most, I believe the best course was the communications of leadership and professional development…. With this class, it has enabled me to become more confident in my abilities to project my ideas in a succinct matter and talk to senior management with more confidence.(May 2019)
To date, the Leadership & Communications course taught by Kathleen Cashman is still the course where I learned the most. This course challenged me to be a better version of myself and for that I will be eternally grateful. This was a class solely focused on developing me as an individual in industry, developing me to bring my best to work, developing my skill set so that I can be THE advocate I need. This class has taught me the most because it has helped me align and strategize the expectations I have for myself. I affirm that I learned the most from this class because everything that was taught could be implemented almost immediately. The gems taught in Kathleen’s course can transcend you into a different state of mind by the end of the third hour. Kathleen teaches self-belief and self-advocacy in its purest form which are the building blocks for self-assurance and independence.(May 2019)
I am a Rutgers MBS Alumni, class of 2015. At the time I took your course, I felt anxious and uncomfortable. I could not have known at the time but your course has truly changed the trajectory of my career, already.
Before taking your course I was a product of my own insecurities, fearing nothing more in life than public speaking. I stand proud today, successful in business so far, due large in part to my sense of self-confidence and ability to represent my company at the highest level through public speaking engagements. I have stood firm in front of crowds reaching the thousands, representing myself and my company alike.
I can say with confidence that my ability to succeed and lead teams of talented individuals is due largely to what you helped me find within myself. We are capable of incredible things, sometimes you just need a nudge in the right direction.
