Course Objectives
  1. Describe the studies required to bring a discovery compound from target identification through preclinical development
  2. Understand the challenges that occur during the course of discovery and development of new drugs
  3. Understand some of the challenges that are specific to therapeutic area targets

This course is intended for students in the Master of Business and Science Program as well as MS, PharmaD and PhD level graduate students in the Life Sciences Graduate Programs, the School of Pharmacy, School of Biomedical Engineering and employees of Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Industries.
