Course Objectives
- To leverage your education into real-world experience to create value for both your employer and for your career. Resume-worthy bullet points are the focus of the experience – not just what you did, how did you add value to what you did.
- The development of Professional Team interactions to include all communications – one-to-one and group as well as written. Influence skills, negotiation skills, conflict resolution skills and Managing projects, managing multiple priorities, building agility and above all, building relationships that work are just some of the skills that are enhanced within every internship and focused on with your Executive Coach.
- Bridging the Science and the Business. Experience allows for the bridge to be utilized and recognized. Building the Experience to be recognized and valued is your goal. Turning internships into career opportunities doesn’t just happen, you cause it to happen. Within the course, the focus of all interactions and assignments helps you build this strength.
- For research Internships, Course Requirements and meetings are determinedby the head researcher. This course can ONLY be counted toward your science credits. If you are doing a research internship on campus and want to have it count toward your business credits, please sign up for theResearchInternship course
