World Information Architecture Association (WIAA) is hosting this event, and the Rutgers MBS program is supporting it.
The speaker for this interactive event is Sheena Yap Chan, a Wall Street Journal bestselling author, keynote speaker, and movement leader dedicated to making confidence visible—in leadership, in organizations, and in every space where women show up. As the founder of the Confidence Through Visibility movement, Sheena is internationally recognized for her work helping women bridge the confidence gap and lead unapologetically through the power of visibility.
Sheena is also the host of The Tao of Self-Confidence podcast and the author of two bestselling books: her Wall Street Journal bestseller The Tao of Self-Confidence and her latest release, Bridging the Confidence Gap.
In the field of Information Architecture (IA), the structures we design have a profound impact on user experience and accessibility. This talk explores how confidence and inclusivity intersect within IA. Drawing from over 800 interviews with women leaders and her own personal journey, Sheena will share strategies for designing information systems that empower diverse user groups.
Attendees will gain insights into creating architectures that not only organize information effectively but also foster user confidence, inclusivity, and a greater sense of belonging.
