WIA Cafe: What is GrassrootsAI and Why does it matter?

World Information Architecture Association (WIAA) is hosting this event, and the Rutgers MBS program is supporting it.

The speaker for this interactive event is Susan Koch. With a background in Art, Business & Technology Susan is a UX Designer & Researcher who is focused on Social Information Architecture. Her expertise in these areas allows her to serve as a Tech Steward, providing valuable advice to businesses on how to leverage small language models. Susan Koch is the founder of 3xethical, a tech advisory firm started in Blackfoot Territory, in so-called Western Canada, in 2017.

Susan will delve into the burgeoning field of GrassrootsAI, its origins, significance, and impact. Beginning with an overview of her expertise and interest in the topic, she'll define GrassrootsAI and highlight its importance in amplifying grassroots movements across various domains. By exploring the intersection of AI technologies with grassroots initiatives, she'll illustrate how communities are leveraging AI tools for social change.
