We're currently waiving application fees for all domestic applicants (US citizens and permanent residents).

 

    We use three factors during our admission decisions:

    1. GRE scores
    2. Undergraduate GPA 
    3. Field and length of work experience (not mandatory for admission except for the engineering management concentration)

    MBS Application Requirements:

    • A bachelor’s degree with a science/math/engineering major from an accredited university, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Official transcripts must be sent directly to the graduate admissions office at the time of applying
    • GRE score (may be waived based on several factors. Click here to determine your eligibility and email us psminfo@docs.rutgers.edu if you’d like to request a waiver)
    • Resume
    • 2 letters of recommendation
    • Personal statement
    • All international students** MUST have their entire transcripts translated and evaluated by WES or ECE - no exceptions. The original sealed transcripts are not required.
    • A TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) test score is required if your undergraduate education was completed in a non-English speaking country:
      • The minimum TOEFL scores are 550 (paper-based) or 213 (computer-based)
      • The minimum IBT internet-based TOEFL scores: writing 22, speaking 23, reading 21, listening 17
      • An acceptable IELTS score is bandwidth 7

    Please note:

    • Send all of your supporting application materials (transcripts, etc) to the specific campus where your program is being offered (refer to the campus address section on this page)
    • Your application will be considered complete only when all the necessary documentation is complete. Incomplete submissions will not be considered for admission
    • Do not submit originals or copies of certificates, secondary or high school information, work samples, or any other material not explicitly requested
    • We strongly recommend submitting all application materials online or mailing them all in a single envelope to be received by the Office of Graduate Admissions before the application deadline

    • In your personal statement, please provide some background information about yourself and why you are interested in the Master of Business and Science Degree. Explain how this degree will benefit you as an individual and in your professional career

      Master of Business and Science Non-Degree Applicants

      • This option is open to only those students who are interested in eventually pursuing the MBS degree but may not have all the requirements ready at the time of application (e.g. letters of recommendation, GREs) and would like to start taking courses
      • This option is not available to international students (no visas can be sponsored for this).
      • Applicants who earned their bachelor’s degrees from a non-US institutions may be required to submit GRE scores even for a non-degree application
