Board of Governors Distinguished Service Professor Mark Robson is an internationally recognized scholar in environmental risk assessment and toxicology. His research—the embodiment of “Jersey Roots, Global Reach”—focuses on the health effects of agricultural chemicals and food production practices in developing countries, and his findings have resulted in worldwide policy changes regarding the safe use of pesticides. A leader in the Rutgers University community, Dr. Robson’s extraordinary, spirited commitment to his students has been as recognized as his scholarship. Dr. Robson is the recipient of the 2021 Daniel Gorenstein Memorial Award—an honor presented to one Rutgers University faculty member each year.
