Learn about the field of Product Design, with emphasis on three main areas: marketing, product design, and manufacturing. Learn the end-to-end process of product design—from identification of opportunities to understanding target markets and the needs of the end-user, and how to create product forms and functions to both meet those needs and elicit a positive experience. Study the essential elements of the supply chain.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, be able to:  

  • Identify product opportunities 
  • Understand how to define the market segments and determine customer needs. 
  • Understand how to best design physical forms to meet customer needs. 
  • Gain a deep understanding of supply-chain mechanisms, methods, and best practices. 
  • Understand fundamental aspects of supply-chain models and processes, focusing on purchasing, distribution, and installation.
