On October 31, 2019, the Professional Science Master’s program hosted the MBS Fall Gathering / Ice Cream Social for students. The semester started to pick up again after midterms, and a social gathering was much needed!

1

Students networking and enjoying their time at the MBS Fall Gathering/ Ice Cream Social.

MBS students take the bulk of their classes with people in their science-based concentration, meeting peers from other concentrations during core business classes such as Principles of Communication & Professional Development and Principles of Accounting and Finance, to name a few.

Having the opportunity to socially connect with former and current classmates is always enjoyable. Events like the Fall Gathering/ Ice Cream Social also offer the perfect time to practice your networking skills and talk to peers you haven’t seen all semester. Of course, the persuasion of ice cream and costumes brought many students together!

2

Students in the Personal Care Science concentration catching up on work accomplishments and what courses they will be taking the next semester.

3

Left—the long line for ice cream. Right—the Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream worker (dressed as an ice-cream cone) handing out ice cream to a student.

Professional Science Master’s Program faculty, with Dr. Matt Sills in the middle.

Not only was this social gathering sweet, but rather “bitter-sweet,” since it was Dr. Matt Sills’s last day before retirement. We want to thank him for everything he has done for all students—past and present. We wish you the very best! Good luck, and enjoy your never-ending vacation!
