Special Permission Numbers (SPN's) are sometimes required during registration for a particular course.
You do not need an SPN for:
Closed Courses
If your desired class is closed, we urge you to monitor WebReg to see if it reopens or if an additional section is added.
Although we do not have a waiting list, your response to this closed course form (MBS students only) will allow us to understand the demand so we can assess the need to open additional sections.
Lack of Required Prerequisite(s)
If you have not completed all of the prerequisites, you will not be able to enroll in the course using an SPN.
Instead, send an email to reqspn@docs.rutgers.edu with the following information:
- Name
- RUID
- Desired class with course #
- Reason for pre-req override (e.g. course waiver, currently enrolled in the prerequisite course)
