On May 23^rd, 2024, the Professional Science Master’s (PSM) program expressed our appreciation for our wonderful Externship mentors and corporate partners by inviting them to dinner at the Zimmerli Art Museum in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

One of the popular features of the Rutgers Professional Science Master’s (PSM) program is our Externship Exchange Program, a cornerstone of experiential learning. On April 16th and 23rd, 2024, Dr. Karen Bemis, Assistant Director MBS Externship Exchange Program, and the team of Advisors hosted the Spring 2024 Externship Lighting Talks.

The Rutgers MBS Externship Exchange program partnered with the New Jersey Big Data Alliance (NJBDA) to provide students with hands-on experience solving problems using data science. 

The MBS Externship Exchange program offers students the opportunity to gain work experience by tackling corporate-sponsored small projects under the guidance of a mentor.

The MBS Externship Exchange program provides students with opportunities for education through experiential learning. Through externships, students work remotely in multi-disciplinary teams to solve real-world projects for partner organizations under the guidance of professors and external company mentors—some of whom are MBS alumni!

One of the many unique features of the Rutgers Professional Science Master’s (PSM) program is our abundant externship exchange program. A highlight of experiential learning, the externship exchange program partners students with corporations to gain first-hand experience in their fields.

Ankit Sharma, a Master of Business and Science (MBS) student, is using his data science and analytics skills to fight human trafficking. Sharma, MBS’23 was awarded a fellowship from Collaborative Solutions LLC for pinpointing human-trafficking hotspots using mapping and analysis software.  

As we celebrate the 15th anniversary of the first customer shipment, on 29 June 2007, of the revolutionary Apple iPhone, the most transformative & successful product in history, we are reminded yet again of the extraordinary power of Design Thinking. This product has done more to enable the digital age than any ever designed. Apple has sold over 2.2 billion iPhones to date. No digital product comes anywhere close. Not within 3 orders of magnitude.
