In the ever-changing world of education, the Professional Science Master’s (PSM) program strives to serve our students using innovative tools and techniques.
On Tuesday, June 25th, students in the MBS course Fundamentals of Intellectual Property (IP) embarked on a class field trip. In the early morning hours, they boarded a bus at the Rutgers Inn and Conference Center and made the long—yet worthwhile—journey to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in Alexandria, Virginia.
Experiential learning is a hallmark of the Rutgers Professional Science Master’s (PSM) program. Perisa Azhir, a Drug Discovery and Development Concentration student, took this to the next level when she traveled to Guangzhou, China.
In the ever-evolving landscape of business and science, the Professional Science Master’s program encourages our students to become lifelong learners. As part of this mission, we provide our students and alumni with opportunities for networking and professional development. Recently, we invited members of our Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) to learn alongside MBS students, alumni, staff, and faculty.
In place of a traditional master’s thesis, students in the Professional Science Master’s program end their academic journey with us by completing a Capstone project.
On November 9th, 2023, students in Professor Mark Burgess’ course Market Assessment and Analysis for Business and Science were invited to step into the role of a marketing consultant for an internationally known furniture and home goods retailer: IKEA.
The Rutgers MBS Externship Exchange program partnered with the New Jersey Big Data Alliance (NJBDA) to provide students with hands-on experience solving problems using data science.
On Friday, June 29th, MBS students in the course Fundamentals of Intellectual Property took a trip to visit the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Located in the beautiful town of Alexandria, Virginia, the USPTO is the federal agency for granting U.S. patents and registering trademarks.
