Workshop: "CBD: Wonder Ingredient or Potential Snake Oil?" A Student Perspective

On Thursday, November 5, and Monday, November 9, respectively, I attended "CBD: Wonder Ingredient or Potential Snake Oil?"—a virtual workshop that covered topics related to the cannabidiol (CBD) industry overthe course of two half-day sessions. Cannabidiol is a non-psychoactive (non-mind-altering) compound found in the cannabis plant— otherwise known as marijuana.

NJ Cybersecurity Virtual Conference: Connect, Collaborate, Careers

On October 16, 2020, the first-ever New Jersey Cybersecurity Conference was hosted virtually by Seton Hall University. The conference, conducted via Microsoft Teams Live Streams, ran from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and consisted of three 50-minute sessions, with two conference options in each session, as well as two keynote speeches and a conclusion (see chart below).

Job Hunting in 2020: Rutgers–New Brunswick’s Virtual Career & Internship Fair

The Rutgers–New Brunswick Virtual Career & Internship Fair  took place on October 1 and 2 via Handshake—a portal through which students and alumni were able to explore career options. The fair, open to all Rutgers students and alumni, featured companies representing a spectrum of both public and private industry sectors—from Fortune 500 companies to nonprofits.
