As we celebrate the 15th anniversary of the first customer shipment, on 29 June 2007, of the revolutionary Apple iPhone, the most transformative & successful product in history, we are reminded yet again of the extraordinary power of Design Thinking. This product has done more to enable the digital age than any ever designed. Apple has sold over 2.2 billion iPhones to date. No digital product comes anywhere close. Not within 3 orders of magnitude.
On Friday, October 28th, MBS executive coach Abbe Rosenthal, MA, PCC, gave students the secret to a successful interview—to lead with their destinations. In this installment of PSM's Virtual Friday series, Rosenthal shared advice from Jodi Glickman, CEO and founder of GreatOnTheJob.com, about how to answer the interview question “tell me about yourself.”
On Monday, October 31st, the Rutgers Professional Science Master’s (PSM) program held a spooky celebration. Students were invited to our office in the SERC building for lunch, candy, and a fun activity. After the popularity of last year’s outdoor Halloween meet and greet, we were thrilled to host another in-person event.
For many MBS students, a fond memory of the program includes visiting the IKEA in Elizabeth with Professor Mark Burgess on a trip for his course Market Assessment and Analysis for Business and Science.
The Master of Business and Science (MBS) degree bases our curriculum on industry-relevant, job-based information. On November 2nd, Rupa Misra, Ed.D., hosted guest speaker Alyssa Kilayko for his class Introduction to Product Design and Development.
As midterms draw to a close, it’s clear—MBS students deserve some rest and relaxation. That’s why we invited trained yoga and mindfulness specialist Katelyn Wallace to host a mindfulness session for our most recent Virtual Friday.
