Inspiring Innovation: RPX CEO Dan McCurdy Talks Intellectual Property with MBS Students

In a recent excursion of experiential learning, the Professional Science Master’s (PSM) program delved into the world of patents and trademarks. Students in our Fundamentals of Intellectual Property (IP) course took a field trip to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), where they were treated to a day of insight from esteemed experts in the field. Students who could not visit the USPTO in person joined via Zoom.

Learning On Site: MBS Field Trip to US Patent and Trademark Office

On Tuesday, June 25th, students in the MBS course Fundamentals of Intellectual Property (IP) embarked on a class field trip. In the early morning hours, they boarded a bus at the Rutgers Inn and Conference Center and made the long—yet worthwhile—journey to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in Alexandria, Virginia.

On Friday, June 29th, MBS students in the course Fundamentals of Intellectual Property took a trip to visit the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Located in the beautiful town of Alexandria, Virginia, the USPTO is the federal agency for granting U.S. patents and registering trademarks.
