The first of two “Orientation: Part 2” sessions was held virtually last night, August 12, 2021, with students checking in from locations near and far—from New Jersey to Mexico, Puerto Rico, and California.
On August 3, 2021, and August 10, 2021, respectively, more than 150 students split among 39 multidisciplinary teams gave info-packed and visually engaging presentations that detailed their summer-long externships as part of Rutgers Master of Business and Science (MBS) degree program's Externship Exchange—a unique, experiential program through which students are matched to corporate-sponsored small projects that they take from start to finish.
One of the most rigorous yet valuable aspects of earning a Rutgers Master of Business and Science (MBS) degree is the focus on experiential learning: the constant application of classroom instruction in real-world situations, both in regular coursework and via formal programs such as MBS's Graduate Internships Program—through which 11 students applied their integrated science and business knowledge this summer.
