Day two of the personal care science conference wrapped on a high note with an incredible entrepreneurial roundtable (more below), which was preceded by three fantastic talks with topics ranging from suncare product regulations, to creating suncare formulations for all skin tones, to hair needs and products for diverse consumer groups.
Day one of the long-planned PCS symposium “Ethnic and Regional Considerations in Personal Care Sciences: A Scientific and Business Perspective,” was absolutely amazing, with a star-studded lineup of personal care and beauty industry experts who shared their extensive experience and scientific knowledge from years of research in the area of skincare.

“Strong writing skills are essential for anyone in business. You need them to effectively communicate with colleagues, employees, and bosses and to sell any ideas, products, or services you’re offering.” (Birchard 2021)
Tech jobs are in demand, and, by all accounts, employers can’t fill them fast enough…if they can fill them at all.
According to LinkedIn News, “[The] skill shortage is leading some large companies to create training programs for people with little to no tech experience to make a pivot.”
In fall 2010, our program welcomed an inaugural cohort of 80 students—all of whom embarked on a journey to earn Rutgers’ newly introduced Master of Business and Science (MBS) degree.
All successful leaders possess one universal, critical skill: they can masterfully strategize and harness two of the most valuable resources available to any one person, organization, or entity: Time and energy.
A few decades ago, it was so much easier to find space—physical /mental/ intellectual—to do the logical parsing. These days? Not so much.
