As part of the mission of the Professional Science Master’s program, we provide our students with innovative tools to succeed.

On March 2nd, Professor Mark Burgess hosted a special guest speaker for his course Market Assessment and Analysis—MBS alum Kelly Patraju.

At the Professional Science Master’s (PSM) program, we carefully consider industry trends and workforce demands when preparing our students for the future.

One of the many unique features of the Rutgers Professional Science Master’s (PSM) program is our abundant externship exchange program. A highlight of experiential learning, the externship exchange program partners students with corporations to gain first-hand experience in their fields.

The Professional Science Master’s program, and by extension, the Master of Business and Science  (MBS) degree, are superb opportunities for any working professional looking to expand their knowledge of business and science and connect with others looking to do the same. One specific course tailored to help students achieve these goals is called Principles of Communication and Leadership.

To facilitate experiential learning, Master of Business and Science (MBS) students finish their degrees by completing a Capstone. This project-based course serves as a culmination of skills learned throughout a student’s time in the Professional Science Master’s (PSM) program. 

In this course, students demonstrate their ability to combine science and business thinking. They: 

• Identify a patented technology 

• Determine a novel use 

Experiential learning is a cornerstone of an MBS education, and we encourage our students to seek out new and exciting ways to practice what they’ve learned in a real-world environment.
