MBS Capstone Fall 2025 Pitches Showcase Student Innovation 

On December 11th and 12th, over 100 students in our course, “Capstone,” presented their business ideas to a panel of judges. This year, presentations were held at the SERC building and brought together students, faculty, and judges for a series of immersive, real-world business presentations. Presentations, facilitated by lead instructor Tom Bryant, were conducted in a hybrid format, with some teams presenting entirely in-person, online, or a combination of both.

Members of the MBS community gathered on December 8th for a festive celebration at the Rutgers Club. The event brought together students, faculty, staff, and alumni for an evening of great food, music, and connections as the semester came to a close.  

Attendees were treated to a festive photobooth, where they could take home photos! 

Preparing Industry-Ready Professionals in "Cosmetic Quality, Safety and Global Regulation"

The "Cosmetic Quality, Safety and Global Regulation" course within the Rutgers Master of Business and Science (MBS) degree program combines classroom learning with real-world exposure to roles within the industry. The course provides students with a practical understanding of how regulatory, safety, and quality functions operate across the cosmetics industry.

MBS Externship Lightning Talks: A Semester of Innovation

On Tuesday, November 9, 2025, Rutgers Master of Business and Science (MBS) students gathered virtually for the Externship Lightning Talks, a signature event of the Rutgers MBS Externship Exchange Program. Hosted via Zoom, the event welcomed externship students, faculty, staff members, advisors, and company mentors, all coming together to celebrate a semester of applied, real-world learning.

Product Claims: The Role of Truth in Marketing with Jay Goldring

As part of the “Market Assessment and Analysis” course, taught by Professor Mark Burgess, students often engage with industry leaders who bring real-world perspectives into the classroom through guest speaker sessions. These are intentionally integrated into the curriculum to help students understand how marketing principles are applied within different sectors and consumer products.
